We have to admit, we felt a pang of sympathy for the mighty GMC Sierra All Terrain Concept. While The Dodge Ramrunner and Ford F-150 SVT Raptor both held prominent spots in their respective booths at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, the Sierra All-Terrain Concept was tucked away in a corner all by its lonesome. It seems hardly a fair fate for a truck that boasts ground-stomping Fox Racing external bypass shocks, aggressive fender flares and a monstrous lift.
General Motors managed to yank a full 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque from the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine nestled under the hood. That means that not only could you dominate any trail you set your mind to in this thing, you could also tow a full-size house along for the ride.
Unfortunately, it's unclear whether The General will be able to work up the gumption to actually produce such a truck. If it does make its way to the public sphere, odds are that the buildup would be handled by an external firm.
